Introduction to waves

This site is over the introduction of waves. The world is surround by waves and i believe we have to apprciate what we have around, such as this beautiful picture set as my background. This picture has at least two waves shown. The sun for example. The light rays/waves that start from the sun and travel through the galaxy and gets recieved in Earth. Also the waves in the water. The waves could be formed by any type of energy and it brought upon the shore. I could also say the wind used to move the clouds. Science is everywhere.

Student Standards

12.2.3.a Students will describe mechanical wave properties (speed, wavelength, frequency) and how waves travel through a medium
12.2.3.b Students will recognize that the energy in waves can be changed into other forms of energy
12.2.3.c Students will recognize that light can behave as a wave (diffraction and interference)
12.2.3.f Students will recognize that the production of electromagnetic waves is a result of changes in the motion of charges or by a changing magnetic field.

This video demostrates the basics of waves. Including various types of waves as in Transverse and Longitudinal. It teaches how every wave transfers energy at the starting point to the other end.
